The Specsavers Surrey Youth Games are open to children and young people aged between 7 and 16 years old who live or go to school in Surrey
The games are the largest annual youth sports festival in the county with more than 4000 competitors taking part in the event every year. The Surrey Youth Games offer 6 weeks of free introductory activity sessions.
The games give access to new learning opportunities and help enhance young peoples confidence and life skills. They are an opportunity for children and young people to try out a new sport or enhance their knowledge and ability by receiving coaching, tactics and skills from local qualified coaches, all for free!
The attendees of the training sessions have a chance to represent their borough against the 10 other boroughs in Surrey on the 15th and 16th June at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford.
The sports on offer for the 2019 Surrey Youth Games include badminton, boxing, football, hockey, judo, netball, squash, tennis and table tennis.
The activity sessions are open to all children and young people aged between 7 and 16 who live or go to school in Surrey. However, the games are only open to beginners or children or young people trying the sport for the first time. The games are not open to club members. Young people can register for up to 3 sports.
The games are a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, and it would be great for some of Crown Simmons residents to get involved. Registration is now open until the end of April. To register, please follow the instructions on the following link: https://www.riderhq.com/c/surreyyouthgames.
