All residents of Surrey are entitled to a ‘Safe and Well Visit’ as part of the work that the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service carry out.
These visits are carried out by Surrey Fire and Rescue Officers and Volunteers. They offer home safety checks to reduce the risk of fire in your homes and information to improve your wellbeing.
As part of this service, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service can undertake an inspection of your property to carry out important safety checks, fit new smoke alarms and other fire protective equipment if required. The visit lasts around 30 minutes and is completely free.
To book an appointment, call Surrey Fire and Rescue Service on 0800 085 0767. You can also request a ‘Safe and Well Visit’ on the Surrey County Council website: https://www.surreycc.gov.uk/people-and-community/fire-and-rescue/keeping-safe-from-fire/what-to-do-before-and-after-a-fire.
