New Repairs and Maintenance service at Crown Simmons Housing

Crown Simmons Housing is delighted to have appointed Mitcham-based KNK Group as its new repairs and maintenance contractor under a long-term partnering agreement for up to 7 years.

The new arrangement with KNK, which will include responsive repairs, void works and planned maintenance, has been put in place in direct response to customer feedback and is designed to deliver a high quality, convenient to use and value for money service for residents.

Paul Yates, Chief Executive at Crown Simmons Housing said,

“We want to provide the best possible service for our residents. Throughout the tender process KNK consistently demonstrated that they have the ability to deliver a service that we can be proud of. I am really confident that this new partnership with KNK will provide our residents with a high quality, consistent service that will generate very high satisfaction levels whilst giving us certainty and much better value for money.”

Kevin Tilly, the KNK Operation Director says of the new arrangement,

We know how important the delivery of a high quality reliable repairs service is to Crown Simmons and their residents therefor we look forward to working alongside them to achieve this.”

The selection process began in Spring 2014 and has seen a number of Crown Simmons residents involved in the procurement process to help choose KNK.

Janet Tucker, a resident involved throughout the tender process for the contractor said of KNK,

“I was very impressed with KNK, the way they log the calls, [and their] right first time policy by taking as much information as possible from the caller. Frank Berry from Sutton Federation of tenant & residents association gave them a glowing reference.”
