Elmbridge Council Appoints Crown Simmons To Manage New Homes

Elmbridge Council has appointed Crown Simmons Housing to manage five newly converted homes in Thames Ditton.

The new apartments, which will be used as temporary accommodation, were completed at the end of December 2018 and will be occupied by Elmbridge Council nominees. Elmbridge BC will retain ownership of Albemarle House. Future projects may be owned and developed by its new housing company, EBC Homes Limited.

The former three storey office block was reconfigured into five residential flats by Hunters South Architects in partnership with Allen Wilson Joinery Ltd. The property will now be managed on behalf of the Council by Crown Simmons Housing and is part of the Council’s commitment to increasing the supply of affordable homes in Elmbridge.

Councillor Andrew Kelly, Portfolio Holder for Housing at Elmbridge Council is proud that Albemarle House will provide some much-needed affordable housing in Elmbridge;

“These five homes at Albemarle House are just the start. Following the establishment of a Council-owned housing company, EBC Homes Limited, in February 2018, we want to work with partners to build more homes in Elmbridge to help local people.”

Paul Yates, Chief Executive of Crown Simmons said;

“We are delighted to have been chosen by Elmbridge Borough Council to manage Albemarle House . We look forward to working with the Council and its housing company on similar sites, whilst continuing to develop and manage affordable housing of our own in the Borough”.
