The Charity for Civil Servants helps civil servants, or retired civil servants struggling with debt or money management, whether it be with debt advice, budgeting advice or actual financial help.
More people than ever before are struggling with the basics. Last year The Charity’s research into how civil servants across the country view the help that they offer found that some people thought The Charity no longer gave financial help. This simply isn’t true! In fact, if you’re a civil servant who’s really struggling with something unexpected, then The Charity are exactly the right people to come to.
Did you know that in 2014 The Charity helped people with over 600 household items, like fridges, freezers, beds and furniture? That’s two essential items every working day of the year.
But the thing is, these household items aren’t just useful ‘nice-to-haves’. The mattress we provided Steven meant that he could get a good night’s sleep for the first time in years.
To apply for help, visit The Charity’s website, or call their helpline on 0800 056 2424 for confidential advice.
