Our office closure to test our IT systems went well on Wednesday. Feedback from staff who were working from home all day is being used to help shape how we will continue to provide services to our residents in the event that it is no longer possible for our staff to work from our office.
Our contractors are continuing to work normally and are tailoring their services accordingly. In the event that we need to move to an emergency only service we will update our website.
We know that many of our residents will be concerned about potential changes in circumstances that might affect the ability to pay rent and service charges. If you are worried please contact us.
Office Closure on Wednesday 18 March
On Wednesday 18 March 2020, Crown Simmons’ office will be closed, with all our staff working from home. This action is being taken to test the resilience of our IT systems and our ability to continue to provide general services to you in the event the Government decides to shut down schools and businesses. We aim to reopen our offices on Thursday 19 March as normal.
If you have any prearranged appointments with us on Wednesday please assume these will not go ahead unless you hear from us. If you fall into a group where you are at higher risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19) and have no family or friends to support you please let us know. If you are worried about your ability to pay your rent or have a change in circumstances due to the current situation then please contact us.
If you need to contact us, please do so in the normal way by telephoning 01372 461440 and leave a message. We will be monitoring messages throughout the day. You can also e-mail us at email@example.com. If emailing, we aim to get back to you within three working days, but we will be prioritising urgent issues.
If you have a general repair request, then please call DWSS directly on 01372 619519. For heating repairs please call BSW on 0800 012 6991. Our contractors will be putting measures in place to ensure that our residents and their operatives are protected.
The safety of our residents, staff and contractors remains our number one priority.
What can you do to help?
Follow NHS advice and wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds. Keep well hydrated at all times by sipping water regularly.
If you’ve been told to self-isolate and we are due to visit your home, you must let us know beforehand. The best way to do this is by calling our Customer Services Team on 01372 461440.
Talk to your family or friends and make a plan of action to support you if you need it.
If you have carers, talk to your care agency and your carers about how they are keeping their staff and customers safe.
